Roles

Roles in GeoWork are used to manage permissions and simplify cooperation between users within a project. Each role defines what actions a user is allowed to perform.

Roles are project-specific, meaning they are configured individually within each project. They can be managed by the project owner or by users with sufficient permissions.

Several roles are created automatically when a project is created. Additional roles can be created as needed. All roles (except the Owner role), including default ones, can be modified.

Once roles are defined, they can be assigned to users within the project. A user’s role determines which actions they are permitted to perform.

The role assigned to a user can be changed at any time.
