Create / Edit / Delete states
While creating a project
When creating a project, there is an option to create, edit, and delete states and sub-states during the creation process. This ensures that they are available as soon as the project is created and can be used immediately.
The following actions can be done only while creating a project. This action is limited to licensed users. Here is a simple guide to get into the management of states while creating a project:
- In the dashboard, click on the "New Project" button
- Enter a name for the project (and add a description if desired) in the first pop-up window, and click the "Next" button
- Edit or skip the setting up of layer groups, and click the "Next" button
- Perform any of the actions written below (create / edit / delete states / sub-states, use templates), and click the "Next" button
- Edit or skip the adjusment of access settings, and click the "Next" button
- Press the "Go to project" button
Create state
- Press the "Add state to set" button
- Enter the name that you want to give to the state and chose a color for the state inside the pop up window
- Press "Save State"
Create sub-state
- Press the "Create sub-state" button under an existing state / sub-state to witch you want to add a new sub-state
- Enter the name that you want to give to the sub-state and chose a color for the sub-state inside the pop up window
- Press "Save State"
Edit state / sub-state
- Press the settings button next to an existing state / sub-state which you want to edit
- Edit the name or the color for the state / sub-state inside the pop up window
- Press "Save State"
Delete state / sub-state
- Press the trash can button next to an existing state / sub-state which you want to delete
In existing projects
In a project that has been created without any specific state settings configured, only one state is available — Default. Users may create, edit, and delete states and sub-states as needed so that they meet the specific requirements of the project. This can also be done in projects where states settings were configured during creation.
Create state
- Press the "Add state to set" button
- Enter the name that you want to give to the state and chose a color for the state inside the pop up window
- Press "Save State"
Create sub-state
- Press the "Create sub-state" button under an existing state / sub-state to witch you want to add a new sub-state
- Enter the name that you want to give to the sub-state and chose a color for the sub-state inside the pop up window
- Press "Save State"
Edit state / sub-state
- Press the settings button next to an existing state / sub-state which you want to edit
- Edit the name or the color for the state / sub-state inside the pop up window
- Press "Save State"
Delete state / sub-state
- Press the trash can button next to an existing state / sub-state which you want to delete
