Marker UI
When a marker is selected, a white pop up window opens (on the right side of the screen for desktop layout / in the bottom part of the screen for mobile phone layout). This window offers all the possible interactions with a marker inside GeoWork. The window consists of multiple sections.
General marker information
In the top part of the pop up window, there are the general information about the marker.
1. Name of the marker
The name of the marker is displayed as the text in the very top of the window, written in bold text. One of the possible interactions with a marker is to change its name.
2. State of the marker
The [state] of the marker is written underneath the name of the marker, it is written in standard text.

User interaction with marker
The second part from the top shows interaction options that are tied to the user-marker relations.
1. Navigate to the marker
Clicking on this option will open a compass that will navigate the user to the selected marker. It displays an arrow that points in the direction of the marker. The remaining distance is displayed in bold text below. As each device may have a different location accuracy, the estimated position accuracy is written underneath the remaining distance.
During the navigation process, it is possible to change the markers' status using the green "Mark as" button.
The last button, titled "Close compass", ends the navigation process. It can be restarted anytime.
2. Add event: Comment
Clicking this option will open a pop up text box. Users may input any text related to the matter and click either "submit" to proceed and attach the comment, or "cancel" to redeem the action altogether. For more information, please visit comments.
3. Add event: Photo from camera
Clicking this button opens the devices' camera system. Users may take a photo, and either confirm it, which will attach it to the marker, or cancel it to redeem the action altogether.
4. Add event: Photo from files
Clicking this button opens the devices' file explorer. Users may take select a photo, and either confirm it, which will attach it to the marker, or cancel it to redeem the action altogether.
Marker attributions
The next section from the top are the markers' attributions. Use these buttons to chagne key characteristics of the marker.
1. Change state
- this button changes the markers' state
- the new state may be selected by the interacting user from the displayed list
2. Assign to user
- this button assigns the marker to a user (or re-assigns to another user in case that it has already been assigned eariler)
- the interacting user may chose a user from the displayed list to assign the marker to them
3. Move marker
- this button provides the repositioning of the marker on the map
- the interacting user may move the marker on the map using their mouse or fingers untill repositioned to the required location
4. Name marker
- this button gives the marker a new name (the name can be changed unlimited times)
- the new name may be inputted by the interacting user
5. Change icon
- this button changes the icon of the marker
- the new icon may be chosen by the interacting user from the displayed list
6. Change group
- this button adds the marker to a group (or changes it if it has already been assigned to a group previously)
- the interacting user may chose a group from the displayed list
7. Share marker

this button copies a link to the marker

the interacting user may send it to another user using any messaging application
(the systems' default sharing layout may open on Android and iOS devices)
8. Delete marker
- this button deletes the marker
- the interacting user may act with caution
Information saved inside the marker
The last section contains information that are stored inside each marker. There are 3 buttons:
1. History log
Clicking on this section opens up the history log. When selected, the comments and pictures added by users are seen chronologically in the lowest section of the marker pop up window.
2. Properties
Clicking on this section opens up advanced tools for marker [properties].
3. Tasks
Clicking on this section opens up information about tasks linked to this marker, with an option to add new tasks.
