Archived tasks
When a task is completed, it remains visible in task lists (both in the project functions sidebar and on the user dashboard), but it can no longer be actively worked on.
At this stage, additional management options become available:
These options allow users to either remove the task from active lists or return it back to an inactive state.
Reopen a task
Reopening a task returns it to an inactive state.
- The task becomes workable again
- It can be assigned and worked on as usual
- All existing data remains unchanged
This is useful when a task was marked as completed but requires further work.
Archive a task
Archiving a task removes it from active task lists without permanently deleting it.
- The task is no longer visible in standard task lists
- All data is preserved
- The task can be accessed later if needed
This helps keep the task lists clean while still retaining completed work for reference.

To archive a completed task:
- Locate the completed task in any task list (project functions sidebar or the user dashboard)
- Click the Edit button next to the task

Archived tasks are project-specific and can only be accessed within the project.

The task detail view will open.
Archived task UI
The UI of an archived task is similar to that of a completed task, with one key difference:
- The Archive and Reopen options are replaced with a single option:
- Unarchive task
Unarchive a task
Unarchiving restores the task back to the active task list.
To unarchive a task:
- Open the task from the Archived tasks list
- Click the Unarchive button
- The task returns to the standard task list and can be managed again
This system ensures that completed tasks can be cleanly organized, while still remaining accessible and recoverable when needed.
