Pair with API

When a virtual vehicle is created within GeoWork, it can be connected to a real-world vehicle using an API key.

This connection allows the real vehicle to communicate with GeoWork and share its data (such as location) directly into the project.

An API key can be obtained:

• During the creation of a virtual vehicle
• At any time for an existing vehicle through its UI in the vehicle list (in the dashboard)

Connect a vehicle using an API key

Some vehicles are equipped with an onboard interface (for example, a controller, tablet, or embedded system) that allows external integrations.

To connect such a vehicle:

1. Open the interface of the real vehicle
2. Locate the section for external integrations or API connection
3. Enter the API key generated in GeoWork
4. Confirm the action on the device

Once connected:

• The vehicle begins communicating with GeoWork
• Its data (e.g., position or activity) can be displayed within the project
