User account settings

All settings related to a user account are managed in one place — the Account settings.

This includes:

  • Settings directly related to the account (such as name or password)
  • Settings linked to the account (such as templates and preferences)

Access the Account settings

  1. Go to the Dashboard
  2. Click on your profile in the top right corner
  3. Click the Account button
  4. You will be redirected to the Account settings

The global navigation bar remains visible at the top of the screen, just as when navigating within the dashboard.

Basic account information

Below the navigation bar, basic account information is displayed:

  • Profile icon
  • Account name (bold)
  • Account email (displayed below the name)

Account settings navigation bar / Categories

Below this section is the account settings navigation bar. It contains multiple categories, each grouping related settings.

1. Profile category

This category allows you to manage basic account information and security settings.

1.1. Profile

This subsection contains editable profile details:

1.1.1. First and last name

  • Displays the name provided during sign-up
  • Editable:
  1. Click the textbox
  2. Modify the name
  3. Press the Save button

1.1.2. Initials

  • Used to represent the user in parts of a project
  • Automatically generated from the name (e.g., John Smith → JS)
  • Editable:
  1. Click the textbox
  2. Enter up to 3 letters
  3. Press the Save button

  • Represents the user visually in parts of a project
  • Editable:
  1. Click the color box
  2. Select a color from the picker
  3. Close the picker
  4. Press the Save button

  • Saves all changes made in this subsection

1.2. Change password

To change your password:

  1. Enter your current password into the Old password field
    • This confirms your identity
    • If you do not remember your password, use the reset password option on the log-in page
  2. Enter a new password into the New password field
  3. Re-enter the new password into the Confirm password field
  4. Click the Change password button

The password is updated immediately.

1.3. Passkeys

This section allows you to manage passkeys for logging into GeoWork.

1.3.1. Add passkey

Click the Add passkey button to create a new passkey

1.3.2. Passkey list

Each row represents one passkey and includes:

  • Passkey name
  • Date of creation
  • Actions:
    • Rename
    • Delete

1.4. Sessions

This section shows all devices currently logged into your account.

1.4.1. Device list

Each row represents one device and contains:

  • Device name (including browser information)
  • Date of log-in
  • Action:
    • Delete (logs the device out)

1.4.2. Additional actions

  • Revoke all sessions – logs out all devices
  • Revoke all other sessions – logs out all devices except the current one

1.5. Linked accounts

This section displays accounts linked to your GeoWork account (for example, a Google account used during sign-up).

1.5.1 Linked accounts list

Each row contains:

  • Account type
  • Action:
    • Delete (removes the linked account)

2. License

This category is used to manage your GeoWork license.

3. State templates

This category allows you to manage all state templates created using your account.

State templates can be reused across projects and applied when needed.

3.1. State template list

Each row represents one state template and contains:

This category is used to manage task template sets, which can later be applied to projects.

The section consists of two main parts:

  1. Create template set button
  2. Task template list

4.1. Task template list

Each row in the list represents one template set and contains:

4.2. Create a task template set

To create a new template set:

  1. Go to the Task Templates section in the Account settings
  2. Click the Create template set button
  3. Enter a name in the Template set name field
  4. Click the Create button

The template set will be created and added to the list.

4.2. Edit a task template set

To define or modify a template set:

  1. Go to the Task Templates section in the user's Account settings
  2. Click the Edit button next to the desired template set
  3. The template editing interface will open

The interface contains:

  • Template set name (displayed at the top)

  • Action buttons:

    • Create template – adds a new template entry
    • Import templates – allows importing previously created templates
  • Template list:

    • Each row represents one template entry
    • Columns include:
      • Task code
      • Title
      • Actions (Delete button)

4.3. Delete a task template set

To delete a template set:

  1. Go to the Task Templates section in the user's Account settings
  2. Click the Delete button next to the template set
  3. The template set is removed

5. Delete account

This section contains the Delete account button.

Deleting an account will permanently remove all associated data and cannot be undone.

This action is permanent. Please proceed with caution.
