To take advantage of services offered by GeoWork as a company, they are two options:
Without a commercial license
You can first hire companies or providers of (for example) drone mapping, who own a GeoWork license. By doing so, you do not have to take care of setting anything up. The company or providers will do all of the work needed for you, and provide you with the requested data. This is recommended if your company needs a single use service, or if you do not have employees who can take care of the work with the software.
Companies and providers can offer different services and prices. Their specialisation and approach can also differ. In consequence, the benefits here is that it's possible to adapt the provider to your most current requirements of work or services.
Before hiring a provider, be sure to agree on the way your data will be processed at the end of the contract. Companies and providers choose whether to provide you the data permanently. Switching providers can lead to loss of the overview of the history of data.
With a commercial license
You can also buy a commercial license directly. This provides you with more possibilities and benefits. You now have the full control over the projects.
To use GeoWork in your company when owning a license, you can either engage qualified employees or hire provider of services which will use it for you. The benefits here is that switching from a provider to another can be done without any loss of data since your GeoWork projects belongs to you. Of course, a combination of both approaches is possible.
Qualified employees
In the case you want your own employeed to use GeoWork, you can either:
- qualify your employees on GeoWork, or
- employ directly specialised GeoWork users.
This makes you independent in the usage of GeoWork. Employ people who pilot drones, manage the server, work with the data, etc. Your company can now use the services of GeoWork whenever needed and adapt the usage to your and your company's needs.
You own the whole history of data. You can do analyzes and other work with all the data, including ones from the past. As long as you keep the license, everything is saved in your projects.
Hire companies
Hiring companies or service providers is a great option when your company does not employ qualified people. Owning a license in this case gives you the option to be the owner of the project. You can hire different companies for different services. All of the data is saved in your projects, regardless of the services providers.
You own the whole history of data. You can do analyzes and other work with all the data, including ones from the past. As long as you keep the license, everything is saved in your projects.
Both approaches
Of course, it's possible to combine both approaches: having qualified employes for everyday tasks and hire external providers for specific tasks. When you own your own license, there is no limitation about what can be done.
